These Terms apply to the website wholewindow.com and to the window repair services provided by Whole Window, 1819 Centre St, Boston, MA 02132.
1. Services
We repair and restore wood windows: rotten sash, frame and sill repair, glass and insulated glass unit replacement, sash cord, chain and balance repair, screen repair, reglazing, weatherstripping and insulation. We do not sell or install replacement windows.
2. Quotes and estimates
Estimates are free. A quote is based on the information, photos, and measurements available when it is written, and is valid for 30 days. If hidden damage is found once the window is opened up, we will tell you before doing any additional work, and a change in price has to be approved by you first.
3. Scheduling and access
We give an arrival window, not an exact time. Someone has to provide access to the property during that window, otherwise the visit is rescheduled. Please tell us at least 24 hours ahead if you need to change an appointment.
4. Deposits and payment
Some jobs require a deposit before materials such as custom glass are ordered. A deposit covers material made to your measurements and is non-refundable once the order is placed with the supplier. The balance is due on completion. Invoices are payable within 14 days.
5. Warranty
We warrant our labor and the materials we supply for one year from the date the work is completed. An extended five-year warranty is available for purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, storms, forced entry, structural movement of the building, work performed by others, or normal wear of paint and finish. Glass breakage after installation is not covered.
6. Customer responsibilities
You confirm that you own the property or are authorized to order work on it, and that any approval required by a landlord, condominium association, or historic commission has been obtained.
7. Calls and text messages
Calls to and from (617) 982-1211 may be answered, recorded, and transcribed by an automated assistant so that no request is missed. By giving us your phone number you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry or job by phone, text, and email. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. 8. Photos of the work
We may use photos of completed work in our marketing. Photos never include your name, address, or house number. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not use them.
9. Website content
The text, photographs, and design on wholewindow.com belong to Whole Window and may not be copied or republished without permission. Information on the site is general and is not a quote for your specific window.
10. Limitation of liability
Our liability for any claim connected to the work is limited to the amount you paid for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
